Milton Caniff's famous newspaper comic strip of the 1930's
is brought to life as a thrilling 15-chapter serial set in
the exotic Far East. Join young Terry Lee
(WILLIAM TRACY) and adventurer Pat Ryan (GRANVILLE
OWEN) as they search the jungles of the Orient for the
missing Dr. Lee. Terry's father has been kidnapped by an
evil fiend named Fang (DICK CURTIS) who also sends forth a
trained gorilla to capture pretty Normandie Drake (JOYCE
BRYANT). And who is the mysterious Dragon Lady (SHEILA
DARCY) who commands the natives? Is she friend or foe?!
Don't miss a single exciting episode of the all-ages,
black & white, regions-free video presentation in NTSC
format, with interactive menus, presented on two DVD-R
discs. Originally released theatrically in 1940 by
Columbia Pictures, this James W. Horne-directed adventure
serial runs over four hours long! (PLEASE NOTE: Although
this is the ENTIRE original TERRY AND THE PIRATES serial,
complete and in it's entirety, there are some slight flaws
- in both audio and picture quality, and it is below the
excellent standards of most of our other vintage serial
re-releases. We worked from the best known print available
to create this DVD, and much digital improvement went into
it, but be aware that it is complete, but less than
perfect.) Released in 2011. |
